Lets talk about flooding
We hope to use porous concrete and reservoir parks to help mitigate the damage caused by flooding.
Porous concrete
Porous concrete is concrete that uses less sand in its production so there are holes in its surface allowing water to flow through it, but it also can do the job of regular concrete in small roads and parking lots. This means water can flow through the concrete instead of pooling on top of it, reducing flooding.
Reservoir parks
Reservoir parks are parks that can be used like regular parks when it is dry, but when it begins to flood these parks are slightly sunken below ground level, so they can hold water. Allowing cost effective, neighborhood parks to help reduce flooding.
